FAQ's about the Warbird Event

1. Are seats provided?

As South Albany is an active private airport, seats are not provided. You're welcome to bring your own lawn chairs or a blanket to relax and enjoy the show.

2. Can I bring my own food?

The airshow provides a food vendor with a wide variety of food items. However you're welcome to bring your own food and beverages. Please remember that glass containers and alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the airshow.  New this year is our Saturday night barbecue.  Join us at 6 PM for great ribs, chicken, pulled pork and delicious sides too!  Only $15 and a great way to spend the evening.

3. Are rest rooms available?

Yes! The airshow provides ample portable rest rooms including those for handicapped visitors.

4. What if it rains?

The airshow will temporarily suspend flying activities during brief rain showers and resume flying when the skies clear. Suspended flying can range from a few minutes to an hour or two. In the event of major storms, CAWS will announce any cancellation of the airshow as early as possible. Watch this web site for updated weather and airshow information.

5. What should I bring with me to enjoy the day?

6. What RC airplanes will be at the event?

CAWS welcomes all military themed radio controlled aircraft. Warbirds of "any year, any propusion, and any size can fly at CAWS. However, all aircraft must meet, and be flown in occrdance with, the AMA Safety Code. All pilots must be AMA (or MAAC) members and abide by all AMA rules and regulations, as well as the AMA Safety Code . All pilots with aircraft must sign-in at the registration table upon entering the airshow site before flyng and/or turning on their transmitters. Pilots of AMA certified experimental aircraft should contact CAWS prior to coming to the event!

7. Can I bring my recreational vehicle?

Limited space is available for primitive RV parking. As South Albany is an active airport, no RV hook-ups are available. Please contact the airshow Event Coordinator to arrange for bringing your RV.
